We had an incredible week at Scriber Gardens, filled with engaging activities! Our intergenerational event, “Ask a Techie Anything,” was a hit, with tech experts helping residents with everything from game apps to FaceTime. Residents enjoyed a lively Senior Crossfit class, building strength and camaraderie, and a special visit from ‘Richard Simmons’ who got everyone dancing to the oldies! We also experienced the calming benefits of plant therapy and floral arrangement. In PEAK Memory Care, residents had fun with an arm wrestling competition and trivia activity with our iN2L. We wrapped up the week with a walk to support the Alzheimer’s Association, led by Joan, a fit Memory Care resident who walked 3 miles while enjoying views of the ocean. Residents also found purpose in our breast cancer awareness activities during AAW, like pink blanket making and bedazzling bras! At Scriber Gardens, we always offer a diverse range of activities, emphasizing each individual’s potential and incorporating all dimensions of wellness. It was fun to highlight our programming during this eventful Active Aging Week!
