Residents at Ballard Landmark were thrilled to welcome the lively gardening expert, Ciscoe Morris during AAW! He is known locally for his "Gardening with Ciscoe," TV and radio program as well as his catchphrase “Oh là là!” His energy and charisma reminded everyone that age is no barrier to pursuing passions. Ciscoe toured our community garden, where residents eagerly shared their plants and received expert gardening advice. Oh, là là! We also enjoyed a trip to Outdoors for All to try adaptive bikes. Many residents, who thought they’d never ride again, found the experience fun and exhilarating! Reilly, a resident musician, embraced active aging by sharing his love of jazz through a special AAW concert. A lifelong jazz enthusiast, Reilly has found retirement the perfect time to refine his piano skills. Residents participated in Team Optimistic, raising funds for support groups and service programs for Parkinson’s patients and their families. Ballard residents participate in multiple fitness events and activities throughout the year. For Active Aging Week, they tried belly dancing and we held a resident and employee fitness competition, fostering a fun, supportive environment. It’s inspiring to see our community come together, celebrating health and vitality at every age.
