Residents enjoyed an enriching week dedicated to the seven dimensions of wellness. The week kicked off with a special guest sharing her journey of embracing a wide range of emotions, emphasizing the importance of appreciating what we have rather than focusing on what we've lost. Our chaplain spoke about navigating life's changes and embracing our feelings. A few Country Meadows residents presented on how to infuse passion and purpose into their lives through activities like gardening, creating homemade cards, learning musical instruments, and sharing music. One resident, an Australian native, highlighted the importance of cultural connection, especially celebrating Australian Day each January. They also promoted social wellness with other residents and guests learning and enjoying ping pong together for the first time in years. Later in the week, our Fitness Director presented ways to adapt to our current lifestyles and enhance physical wellness. The Dynamic Living Director led an immersive hiking experience, showcasing how our natural surroundings benefit both mind and body. We concluded the week with a lively Fall Fashion Show, where residents showcased their style with pride. Overall, it was an incredible week with great attendance, offering our resident presenters and guests a wonderful opportunity to engage with the seven dimensions of wellness.
