Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."
While the ICAA recognized this weeklong campaign, Westminster Canterbury Richmond expanded the programming for the full month, creating Active Aging Month. We had a full set of activities for Active Aging Month that included cultural arts programs, pastoral care concerts and workshops, excursions, a health and wellness fair and a Walk to End Alzheimer's and so much more. We created Active Aging Month posters that listed over 25 special events (in addition to our regularly scheduled programming). Departments across our campus, Wellness, Cultural Arts, Recreation, Pastoral Care, Dining, and many more partnered together to make these events possible and successful. We encouraged residents to attend as many activities as possible to experience whole person wellness throughout the month. We received great feedback and look forward to continuing many of the activities.
