Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."

Legacy Willow Bend excitedly opened- up the Active aging Week with Move it or Lose It Cardio exercise classes. Then on to Lunch & Laugh with Jill Beam, former Ms. Senior Tx 2015/Senior Follies Performer/Entertainer/Comedian, speaking on Laughter for the Health of it!. Capping the day with a Health & Wellness Fair, showcasing balance & strength tune up, hearing screenings, dental screenings, 3d Movement analysis, sample massages, learn how to put lashes & brows, and raffle prize from a cruise liner. On top of that, our members enjoyed the samples and prizes they received from the organizations. To add, the next few days were filled with fun activities like, Balance & Strength exercise classes, Dance Lessons (Learn how to Foxtrot), Fall Wreath decorating, Bingo & smoothie, and Tai Chi Chih (American Tai Chi). Also, one of the favorite activity was the Changing Bodies, Changing Lives Strength class. Our members did the strength exercises with canned goods and we donated them to JFS after exercise. Lastly, two highlights of the week were the Homecoming Dance, where our members danced their hearts out and cheered for the crowning of the homecoming king & queen and the Legacy Challenge Cup. Our two communities had a friendly competition in Bocce, Corn Toss and mini golf. We had an amazing, fun week," was the consensus statement from our members as they participated in all our activities across the dimensions of wellness.
