Westminster Canterbury....We developed events for individual days of the week and others that lasted all week. The variety of activities offered choices between small group participation and individual searches and interactions depending on the preference of the participant. The goal was to keep residents active and engaged with each other and within the community. We did it all within safety guidelines for COVID. Employee Scavenger Hunt where the employee wore a numbered button and the residents had to "find" the correct employee based on clues given to get the correct number for the scavenger hunt. Wellness Challenge contest lasted all week and promoted daily healthy habits of fruits/vegetables, 20 minutes of activity, good sleep habits, gratitude journals and mind puzzle activity. Culinary Contest residents created a dish or prepared a recipe that contained at least one of the 3 required ingredients. Inside obstacle course had residents competing through a series of stations to complete the task as quickly as possible to be the winner. Basketball challenge was a free throw contest within a specified time limit and the most baskets won. Resident guessing game had them guessing who the resident was by their baby picture.
