Tell us what you did during Active Aging Week to redefine the term "Active."
At The Reserve at North Dallas, we are redefining active using our “Be Inspired” 6 different dimensions! Culture & Arts, Leadership & Volunteerism, Lectures & Learning, Movement & Mind, Recreation & Entertainment, Spiritual Health & Religion. The residents enjoy participating in the following daily activities: Hands on participation in drum jams/circles, Paint History Classes, Music Therapy, Live entertainment, Art & Reflect class this week, we learned about Henry Maltese. Over 10 different fitness classes to choose from, fitness, chair yoga and balance & conditioning…and more. We made Mala beaded necklaces where residents discussed meditation and the meaning of the Mala necklace and why there are 108 beads. We ended the week with a healthy cooking demo with our very own executive Chef Hector! Healthy body, Healthy Minds! We “Redefined” Active by knowing our residents desires and interests and providing a wide variety of options. Residents may also enjoy a fun game of golf on our putting green or a game out on our bocce ball court. There is something for everyone here at the Reserve!
