Brethren Village themed each day we hosted daily in person Pop Up classes and digital classes on our television channel. We collaborated with the Dining Department to offer something special to the residents. We provided some helpful information regarding the topic of the day. Hydration Monday featured the ‘Dry Water’ class which incorporated pool equipment, exercises and water related activities. We served the residents infused water before and after the Pop Up Class. Relaxation Tuesday’s ‘Just Chill’ class introduced guided imagery where we guided residents through deep breathing exercises with progressive muscle relaxation. Residents received a relaxation Swag Bag. Physical Wednesday we offered a fun event; The WALK & ROLL. Residents chose either a 1 mile walk or a 3.3 mile bike loop. Residents tuning in to ‘Daily Dose of Wellness’ on TV were challenged with triathlon exercises. Nutrition Thursday featured the ‘Cooking up a Sweat’ class. Residents turned up the heat by using cooking and baking skills to exercise such as picking apples and stirring soup. Fun Friday included a laughter filled class which combined fun exercises using laugh therapy, brain teasers and multitasking moves. Dining featured a new signature fun pizza in the Bistro to end the week.
